The #900 was destroyed in the tragic Chase, MD., accident at 1:30pm on January 4th, 1987, along with the #903. An original Kodachrome slide from my collection; the photographer was not specified.
The New York Central had 16 Lima 1200 H.P. road switchers. Two were rebuilt with EMD 1200 H.P. 12-567C engines in 1957. The 8062 and 8063 made it into the Penn Central era.
