An intermodal train swings into a superelevated curve as it heads north toward Birmingham. The community of Abanda is named after the initial builder of the railroad: the Atlanta, Birmingham & Atlantic (A, B, and A).
Alabama may not be considered the most scenic state, or have a particularly exciting railroad scene, but it's where my roots are, and I'm proud to represent my home state through these scenes of trains in the Heart of Dixie.
