The Cal Northern ran the south end of the former NWP for less than three years, and only reluctantly, but they ran it well. Here CFNR 200, a former Reserve Mining unit owned by GATX and leased to Cal Northern, heads the daily hauler south from Willits. The Cal Northern colors matched perfectly with the spring time grass and California poppies.
