Remarks & Notes |
The Oelwein Job heads back to Waterloo with 8 cars out of the ethanol plant at Fairbanks. The signs around the train tell a tale of history. The 341 sign on the pole to the right is an old CNW mile post, the 341 on the left is a UP mile post and if you look closely to the right of the UP mile post there is a cement whistle post from the CGW days. This spot is 341 miles from Kansas City, dating back to the CGW days. This line has seen its history over the years. |
