| SNCF four-cylinder compound 4-8-2 No 241P34 departs from Belfort with the 15.40 Basle to Paris Est train. By the end of that year these magnificent engines had been replaced by diesels on this route which has now been downgraded by the opening of the LGV Est last June. |
