Remarks & Notes
The smokebox of BR Class J72 No 68736 built in June 1922 to a NER design of 1898 and withdrawn in October 1963. This locomotive was the York station pilot and was painted in a special livery with the NER & BR crests on the tank sides, a bit of a celebrity but those days are long gone.
