Remarks & Notes
Using long exposures, one can see the traces the stars leave because of earth's rotation... Adirondack's consist: one full lenght GREAT dome, five Amfleet and to top off, NYC 3 observation car! Stopped at the Canadian customs with a full moon shining; 110 sec. exposure, Canon EOS 400D.

Amtrak Adirondack and Predecessors

Album created by member Ellis Simon

The Adirondack follows both the Hudson and the Lake Champlain shoreline on its leisurely trip between New York and Montreal. When it started, it was pulled by beautiful ALCO PAs purchased by Delaware & Hudson second-hand from the Santa Fe.
