NS 890 crosses the former Tennessee Central bridge across the Emory River on it's way to TVA's Kingston plant. Kingston trains and locals are the only moves that traverse this span, orginally built in 1904 and upgraded with steel bents in 1982. The bridge is part of the 1.3 mile long Harriman Branch, which forms the southern leg of the wye at Harriman Junction, between the CNO&TP 3rd District and the Oakdale line to Knoxville. Once across the bridge, the train will climb the 2.06% grade to the CNO&TP.
