Remarks & Notes |
An express train "Golden sands" from Varna to Sofia is crossing a big bridge between the stations of Lakatnik and Levishte. Locomotive ahead is class 44 of BDZ (to be more accurate - 44 126), made by Skoda - Plzen. The max power of those engines is 3140 KW and the top speed is 130 kph (approximately 80 mph). Those class electric engines is the most popular in Bulgarian Railways. Approximately from total count of 90 locomotives, 80 are still operating. The rest of them are wasted because of an accidents and crashes. |
