| The final train into Grand Rapids on Christmas Eve before the CSX line shut down finally continues on its journey the afternoon of the 26th. This is the first picture I've captured from a tree. I had climbed about six feet up into a tree to bend back an offending branch that was blocking another vantage point I had picked, but then I saw the headlight of the train approaching. I jumped back down to the ground, grabbed my camera and scrambled back up the tree, trying my best not to slip and fall or drop my camera...into the river below me! |
