A Metrolink train to Oceanside climbs up over the old Santa Fe and the Los Angeles River as it utlizes the flyover to speed through Redondo Junction. The Redondo Junction Flyover was built in 2001 as part of the Alameda Corridor project, and separated Amtrak and Metrolink from the Union Pacific and BNSF lines into the trench. Picture was taken from the 26th Street Bridge and actually includes pieces of four bridges in it, the BNSF LA River Bridge, the Redondo Jct Flyover, Washington Blvd Bridge, and the Union Pacific Bridge.
