| The dark clouds and snow on the pilot give mute testimony to the weather on Donner Pass as the westbound "California Zephyr" passes thru Penryn in the foothills of the Sierra. To the the right, Penryn's Masonic Hall, dating to 1878. The Material Handling Cars behind the locomotive would later be banned due tracking shortcomings. |
