Stacks come across the Los Angeles River, having just left the LA Sub for the Alameda Corridor Sub. The three track "Los Angeles River Bridge" was finished in November of 1998, replacing a single track bridge that had dated from 1905 (built by the San Pedro, Los Angles & Salt Lake). The river itself was encased in concrete following the 1938 floods. The train is lead by two ES44ACs sandwiching an SD70M. #7650 is less than a year old, coming April 2007 from GE. #4681 came from EMD June 2001. And #5487 is the middle child, having come from GE in June 2005.
