Remarks & Notes
Built in the 1880's, Canadian Pacific's mainline between Toronto and Montreal was built as the Ontario & Quebec Railway. Not particularly flat or straight, it's small wonder the Glen Tay to Toronto section was replaced with the newer lakeshore line, opened in 1914. The sparsely populated region it traverses didn't help either. Though the Glen Tay to Havelock section is abandoned, Havelock to Toronto is still hanging on as the Kawartha Lakes Railway, who's 18 car train T08 passes through geography typical of the west end at Balsam, Ontario, behind CP 3111, 8239, 8200, 3114, and SLH 8245. 1011hrs.
