Remarks & Notes |
TV200 rolls along the West Branch Delaware River with C40-8W # 6066, B36-7 # 5050, and C36-7 # 6623. When stack trains first started to proliferate on Conrail the Southern Tier Line became a favored routing for Conrail due to the capacity issues on the River Line at that time. The ample clearances and light traffic made this ex Erie Lackawanna main from Port Jervis to Buffalo an ideal path for these trains and many ran this route giving those who missed the EL a second chance to capture the great scenery of the ex EL Susquehanna Division / Delaware Division. Actual location is within the Town of Deposit, halfway between the Village of Deposit and Hale Eddy. |
