Remarks & Notes |
On a fine bright spring morning 44422 heads a passenger train to Froghall. The 0-6-0 wheel arrangement was among the most numerous type in the U.K. It's odd how British locomotive makers built large modern locomotives for export, whilst some of the home railways persisted with small engine policies. Some of my German friends always refer to such small machines as 'Zee English tea kettles'. |
