Remarks & Notes |
These units, lead by CSXT 6501 in full B&O colors (originally B&O 3685) have just delivered an inbound loaded UAC coal train to the industrial yard in Solvay and are heading light for Dewitt Yard. In 1991 Salt City Energy Venture had rebuilt the old Allied Chemical power plant (closed in 1986) into a coal fired cogen plant. For some reason Conrail still used the Allied Chemical designation for this train symbol. Trailing units are CSXT SD40-2 # 8066 (ex SCL 8066) and CSXT SD40-2 # 8458 (ex VMV 3041). In the background along the CR Chicago Line are Conrail GP38-2 # 8134 and Conrail GP38 # 7720. |
