Remarks & Notes |
Once totalling almost 700, the useful LMS '3F' 0-6-0's could be found in virtually every corner of Britain. Just ten survive including the oldest, KWVR's 47279 from 1924. Looking totally at ease with a modest freight she ambles along Keighley Straight towards Ingrow. Inexplicably known to UK enthusiasts as 'Jinties', in fact railwaymen referred to them as 'Jocko's' as many were built in Glasgow. |
