Two of North Yorkshire's finest sights are the reds and golds of the autumn bracken and the joys of Britain's most powerful 4-4-0, 'Repton'. The 'V' or 'Schools' class is still a joy to behold now (2008) in its 74th year! I've always felt that this photo has a curiously surreal quality. The inexplicable culling of the fine grove of trees (on the left) at this location was not a positive move. |
