The short embankment at Moorgates is probably the only location on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway where a silhouette against the evening sky is possible. This, of course, assumes the sun is out (by no means a certainty on the moors!). At dusk on a November's day, the newly restored 'Q6' and the heavens were in perfect harmony, leaving a certain photographer to wend his weary but happy way home into a golden sunset. Who writes this stuff?
