I visited the Carlisle area occasionally to see the last regular haunt of the fine 'Britannia' Pacifics. Though they were long past their best cosmetically, some excellent performances were still being achieved. 70025, shorn of her 'Western Star' nameplates, drifts past track workers at Upperby (thanks to Mark Bowerbank for the correction!) yard with a lengthy freight. The lack of hi-viz vests is enough to give the 'Health & Safety' brigade a dose of the vapours!
