Remarks & Notes 
Away from the stations, the Churnet Valley Railway is notoriously difficult to photograph. Bounded on one side by swampy marshland alongside the River Churnet and on the other by privately owned woods and farmland. These perils notwithstanding, I ventured through cool, dense dwarf oak woods and was rewarded with a glimpse of the railway as GWR pannier tanks Nos.6430 & 9642 passed hurriedly by.
