Remarks & Notes |
Derailed! Currently undergoing a major overhaul, the only surviving London & North Western Railway 0-6-2 'Coal Tank' had just brought its rake of vintage coaches into Oxenhope Station. The locomotive uncoupled and ran forward to the bufferstops in the headshunt. The 1888 Crewe-built veteran then reversed to run back 'round its train. Someone forgot to change the points. Damage low - embarrassment high! |
