At the engine depot at Kumasi, the second largest city in Ghana (pop. 1.5m) and birthplace of Kofi Annan. There are no trains reaching here these days because the track to Accra and Takoradi is unfit for use and waiting for some foreign investment to restore and upgrade the system. Although not officially closed, the shed looks fairly abandoned, the turntable pit is full of water and the freight cars are isolated by the undergrowth on the rails.
