Remarks & Notes |
The second of seven and a half 40-car unit military trains is being unloaded at the Port of Anchorage. This movement was in support of the deployment of the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team from Ft. Wainwright, Alaska in Fairbanks. The ARR handled the movement to Anchorage and on to the port owned trackage where it was staged for pickup by the massive USNS Bob Hope for transfer to California. The ARR GP38-2 is being used to hold the air on the consist while it is being unloaded in order to help expedite its empty return movement northward. |
