I consider myself a fortunate soul indeed, living as I do, so close to the route taken by the 'Scarborough Spa Express'. The last rays of the evening sun lend a lovely rose glow to 'Leander' and her train as she thunders up the grade past Horsforth. She has less than a mile to climb before reaching Bramhope tunnel summit then via Harrogate to her destination, York.
