The "Central Coast Surfliner," Amtrak's Los Angeles to San Luis Obispo roundtrip, is on its way back to LA as it passes along the beach in Serena and heads towards Sandyland, following alongside iconic Santa Claus Lane (just out of frame to the left). Seconds before the 20 minute late 798 came through, these tracks were infested with dog walkers and tired kids dragging sand pails, but luckily everyone got out of the way. Dash 8 #505 was delivered in 12/1991.
