| A scene that would never be permitted under today's 'health & safety' regime, yet I don't recall a single one of the hundreds of people who turned out to witness steam's final, glorious finale coming to the slightest harm! Incredible scenes at Ais Gill as Britannia class Pacific No.70013 'Oliver Cromwell' basks in glory. The run was recreated earlier today. Same locomotive, train and route. A triumph of the preservation era. |
