Remarks & Notes |
The train used in the film '1984' starring Richard Burton and John Hurt is seen during filming as it approaches the New Mill bridge. The loco is former US Army Transporation Corps No 1968 built by The Vulcan Ironworks, Pennsylvania in 1943 while the carriages include the rotting remains of a 12-wheel Pullman car 'Cambria' now scrapped after vandals set fire to it. |
