UP westbound on former SP Cascade Summit slowly works its way toward the top. Minutes ago this scene was a torrential downpour, but as the end of the day drew closer the sun popped beneath the clouds creating a wonderful vista of the SP in Oregon from atop tunnel 21. I can still smell the pine, rain and diesel exhaust filling the valley. Patience sometimes pays off. More SP as time permits.
