This is a scene of old meets new. This is a scene or irony. This is a scene you may never see again. Kelowna Pacific’s GP38 has just finish pushing the Spirit of Kamloops train by and is now heading into the clear. The Kelowna Pacific lends a helping hand, yet is one of the contributors to the downfall of the Kamloops Heritage Railway’s Armstrong excursions. Due to the fact that the Kelowna Pacific has raised the fee for the track usage, and the City of Armstrong will not contribute in the construction of a wye in order to turn the engine, this looks as if it will be the last time these rails will see steam for a long time. All upcoming trips have been cancelled and no trips are being planned for the 2009 season. Unfortunately, this is a scene of history
