#38 fell victim to arson on March 16, 2008. Personnel have moved all 4 of the involved pieces from the engine house in which the vandal(s) broke into and did their destruction. The engine house has been razed, and the Knox and Kane is having a liquidation auction Oct. 10th&11th.
#38 is ex LAL #38, exx H&BT #38. Knox and Kane personnel had restored #38's livery to the original H&BT markings in hopes of running her for excursions this year.
