Remarks & Notes |
A helper set with BNSF 6819 and 6816 move out of the Essex Yard and onto their primary task of pushing heavy tonnage trains over Marias Pass. The hummingbird feeding on the porch of the Izaak Walton Inn could care less about what's happening on the BNSF's Hi-Line and continues it's feeding frenzy, which is indicative of a snowstorm moving in. Indeed, the hummingbirds were accurate barometers of a freak snowstorm that dumped about 18" of snow on Essex less than a week after this photo was taken! |
