| Before it was a B40-8, it was a B39-8. Here it was, almost new and in between thunderstorms, at the Englewood yard "mudge pocket" (look at the dirt/ballast to see where they got the word mudge from). UP updated software to make these all B40-8s in 1999. These units were mainstays in groups of 4 on stack trains around Houston in their prime; now most of them are stored. |
