Remarks & Notes
A magical time on the UP during those days, because none of us hard core UP fans (old UP, mind you) NEVER thought we would see the Centennials ever turn a wheel again. Every train that had a Jack in it I would just fire away, no matter what the light or where it was positioned. So when one was on the point and the light was right, well, it was just magical. This particular unit is special to me because it was the first one I ever saw back in 1974 when my Dad stopped the car in Rawlins on the way back from Yellowstone, and it, the 6939 and 9001 were bringing a TOFC train in from the west. I followed it ever since.
