Barry Byington Sr.'s recent uploads inspired me to go back through my collection looking for something of historical significance. Of course, we're only looking at a span of 3 years in my case, but there are changes everyday in the railroad world so I knew I could find something. It's been 3 years since we caught NS 2851, built as SOU 2851K in 08-1971. leading Allentown to Slateford Jct. local H76. NS 2851 and 15 other GP38ACs are stored and are still on NS's active roster, most likely to never see mainline or branchline ever again. It's amazing how so much can change in just 3 short years.
