Remarks & Notes
I always think that 'Wahoh' sounds as if it should be a small town in Texas! In fact, it nestles on the edge of the Pennine hills and is a reservoir that supplies water to Manchester. Looking rather more 'Scottish' than deepest Lancashire, the 'Cotton Mill Express' passes uphill on a glorious morning, the last of the early winter snow still atop the distant hills observed by a small crowd on the footpath and a lone duck in the water. 'Tis good to be alive on such a day.
