The Train of the Future!
I don't think the Jersey Central Railroad ever envisioned this running on their mainline! A PL42AC locomotive pushes six new multi-level coaches east towards Newark on NJ Transit's Raritan Valley Line. Now reduced to a double track commuter line, this was once the CNJ Main running from Jersey City to the mountains of Pennsylvania. It was once four tracks through this area, as can be seen in the very wide right of way. |
