| A "Bailey-Cross" coal drag rumbles over the Potomac River on the 1930 alignment. The bridge to the left is the 1892 alignment through Historic Harpers Ferry. The little island with the tree is what's left of the original "Wager Bridge" crossing the Potomac prior to the Railroads arrival in 1836. |
