This Brand New General Electric ES44DC painted for BNSF in the Heritage III Scheme is seen stopped at the South Siding Switch Longs Peak, Colorado. These locomotives are named GEVOs, or known as General Electic Evolution Series. These locomotives have a GEVO-12 Cylinder 4400 Horse Power Prime Mover. These engines produce the same amount of horse power as its predessor GE C44-9W. Instead, these units use 12 Cylinders instead of 16, and produce fewer emissions and less fuel. These units are suppose to replace the GE C44-9W, according to General Electric.
