Remarks & Notes
Springtime in Alaska! Three SD70MACs shove north up the south end of the Anchorage yard lead and around the loop toward the port to deliver their train load of refined petroleum products to the Flint Hills terminal. The train has just passed over the "steel bridge" that spans the tidal waters of Ship Creek. Frozen solid a month ago, the creek is once again visible as "break up" approaches heralding the arrival of spring.

Coal and steel don't go bad. This album features long, slow, heavy freight trains; drag freights, slop freights, dead freights, etc. Trains with lots of power, and lots of different cargo slogging along behind.
