| An old shot from 1980. Class 25 no. 25 172 waits in a centre road at Manchester Victoria Station for its next banking duty. The
is class of loco was used to push heavy freights up the 1 in 37 incline to the east. Class 40 no 40 152 runs light through the station. This was once a common sight, but no more. The station has changed beyond recognition and both locos were scrapped years ago. |
