Remarks & Notes |
According to internet reports, CSX Q114 saw sparks flying from a car on loaded coal train CSX T909 and notified them. T909 was running Westbound coming into Hamler, OH and trying to bring the train to a stop when the middle of the train derailed resulting in a reported 21 car pile-up on the CSX Chicago Mainline. This scene is at least 8-10 hrs after cleanup began and work is well under way to getting the line back open. To the right, you can see one piece of equipment dropping a wheel into a pile on the far side of the ROW while another is nudging a hopper car. Several other cars are still piled to the left. The signal on the North side of the tracks was taken out by the accident and the one on the South side still stands on the right side of the picture. |
