Remarks & Notes
A pair of SD60M's drag Union Pacific's 'Potash Turn' up a 1.2 percent grade and through a pair of five degree curves at the southern entrance to Bootlegger Canyon. Today's outbound train has 20 loads for East Yard at Grand Junction, Colorado. The roar the two EMD motors sounded terrific echoing from the sandstone cliffs that line the Colorado River. A public trail that leads to Corona and Bow Tie arches can be seen along the ridge above the cab of UP 2321.
