Between Dotsero and Range, on the Dotsero Cut-off, an eastbound freight skirts the Colorado River behind 5430 3066 and 3074 in June 1981. This was the photographers first visit to this line and just after this shot managed to involuntarily explore a good deal of the high country around Burns, having taken a wrong turn, ending up at Bond on dusk!
