Caldeonian railway 1907-built 0-4-4T #419 has recently been outshopped as BR #55189 in 1950s style livery. The engine is working a charter accurately recreating a Scottish branch line train of the period. Sometimes the load was just 1 wagon, as in this photo. Perhaps Dr Beeching, who, as BR Chairman in the early 60s pruned much of Britain's secondary rail network, had a point. The large body of water is the Firth of Forth.
