No holiday in glorious Devon would be complete without a visit (my first) to the wonderful South Devon Railway. The river Dart ambles peacefully alongside, as outside cylindered 0-6-0 'Pannier' tank No.1369 heads past the floral wonders of bluebells, campion and dog daisies. Its destination at the lovely town of Buckfastleigh is a couple of miles away. If a scene like this does not evoke a warm glow of fond reminiscence of childhood, then - Jack - you're dead!
