| The old V&T was engineered in the Civil War era and didn't have the benefit of N&W vast amounts of capital so the route "undulated" a bit. Here the eastbound ECP-equipped coal train (722 or 724) is reaching another small crest just west of the tiny rural community. Two more DPU ES-40DCs bring up the rear.
