Santa Fe's GP7 and GP9 rebuilds, though as numerous and buggy as mosquitos, nonetheless were slimly represented in kodachrome colors. So when Dallas bud Tim Jones called me up and said "...get your &&& up here for the weekend, we gotta geep to get!", I didn't argue. What would it be than one of only 3 (if I recollect correctly) painted up. Already starting to fade, it made for a pleasant afternoon following it around Zacha Jct. and environs, in what would turn out to be the final era for the Santa Fe in Dallas.
