Remarks & Notes |
Two SD70MACs wheel the 19 car and nearly 1800 ft long pride of the fleet southbound at nearly 60 MPH. The Denali Star (train 230) makes a 12 hr and 356 mile run to and from Fairbanks 7 days a week between mid May and mid September. It is a ride not to be missed! Here the train is passing through the wildlands off the Ft. Richardson Army Base about 15 miles north of the train's destination at the Anchorage Historic Depot. |
